The first Rad Weekender report

Last weekend we held our first 'Rad Weekender', a weekend of events in Clifton with the hub being a space we'd taken over for the weekend, alongside Mack Workshop & BristolByCyclist. Friday night saw a slightly early Full Moon Bike Ride, which was a crowded affair, a big group rolled around the city before ending up at Beerd in Clifton for pizza & post ride discussions. Saturday afternoon was a faster rides which saw riders heading to the Mendips, in glorious September sunshine. 40 miles later & they returned to Jika Jika for coffee & cake.

Sunday saw the heavily postponed Das Rad Hunt. We had planned this for Easter, but various reasons meant we put it off. This time it happened & the sun was shining. 8 teams of 2 took on the challenges which involved a combination of answering questions about our city, collecting items & taking challenging photographs. Everyone involved had a blast, and some interesting photos came of it, with Thom & Caro taking home the glory of Das Rad Hunt champions 2014.

We spent the weekend promoting what we do here in Bristol, through photographs, stories & merchandise. Were stoked to speak to so many cyclists looking for exactly what we believe in - having fun on bikes. We hope we inspired you to get out & have a ball wherever & whatever you ride.
